FREE GUIDANCE FOR CREATORS IN INDONESIA

How to Create on Facebook Professional Mode

Facebook professional mode, often called FB Pro in Indonesia, turns a profile into a creator profile with a professional dashboard. It suits Reels, photos and posts that reach local communities and customers.

Steps for creating on Facebook (FB Pro)

  1. Step 1

Turn on professional mode in profile settings, or use a Facebook Page. Meta says profiles outside professional mode are ineligible for monetisation products. Review privacy settings before switching.

  2. Step 2

Choose one topic close to a local audience, such as home recipes, small-business tips or local information. Write a bio stating your topic and business contact.

  3. Step 3

Create original Reels, photos, Stories and posts. Meta’s Partner Monetisation Policies require original and authentic content, so do not repost other people’s work.

  4. Step 4

Reply helpfully to comments and messages. Turn recurring questions into your next content ideas.

  5. Step 5

Review the professional dashboard: reach, views, watch time where available and new followers. Compare similar formats over the same period.

  6. Step 6

Check the monetisation menu in the professional dashboard. Never follow “monetisation activation” links from private messages; official invitations appear only in the app, Meta Business Suite or the professional dashboard.

What should you measure?

Monitor views, watch time, followers gained from specific content, meaningful comments and business enquiries. One viral post does not establish regular income.

Schedules, video lengths and examples are practice suggestions. No posting time, hashtag or formula guarantees virality. Check your account because features can change.

How can you earn money?

Meta ended in-stream ads, Ads on Reels and the Performance bonus on 31 August 2025, and in-stream ads for Live ended on 15 June 2026. Their replacement, Facebook content monetisation, is currently invitation-only and supports Indonesia and the Indonesian language. Stars are available in Indonesia to creators with 500 followers for 30 consecutive days who meet Meta’s policies. Brand collaborations, UGC and affiliates remain common routes.

UGC
You are paid to create brand content. Publishing on your account is not automatically included. Specify deliverables, format, revisions and usage rights.
Endorse / paid promote
You are paid to publish to your audience. Disclose the sponsorship and make only supportable claims.
Affiliate
You receive commission for qualifying transactions. Check account approval, products, attribution, cancellations and payment rules.

How much could you earn? There is no fixed amount. Start from zero and account for actual costs. Use scenarios to understand the arithmetic rather than predict a salary. Open income examples and the calculator. Work out your rate card · ID Creator glossary · ID

Free products or barter are not cash. Do not buy “guaranteed sponsorship” packages or share passwords with supposed brand representatives. Verify senders through official channels.

PRACTICE PLAN · NOT AN OUTCOME PROMISE

A 30-day practice plan for beginners

Adjust to your time and circumstances. The first month’s goal is a portfolio and a clearer idea of what to improve. You may earn nothing yet.

  1. Days 1–7

    Choose & prepare

Choose one audience and subject. Set up your bio. Write 10 audience questions. Film one practice video with your existing phone.

  2. Days 8–14

    Make 3 samples

Make a tutorial, a first-hand experience and a question answer. This is a practice target, not a platform posting requirement.

  3. Days 15–21

    Publish & learn

Publish at a sustainable pace. Record questions, available watch-time data and improvements needed.

  4. Days 22–30

    Build a portfolio

Select 3 strong samples. Define your services and limits. Prepare a media kit, practise a pitch and apply for a free CariTalent profile.

Prepare your first offer

Prepare a short portfolio with three relevant samples. State topics, services, delivery time, revisions and business contact. Give the source and period for any metrics. Label practice samples as practice rather than paid client work.

“Hello, I’m [name], a creator covering [topic]. I have an idea for [concept] to help explain [product/need]. My samples are at [link]. May I send a scope and quote?”

Make outreach personal and relevant rather than sending mass messages. Put deliverables, deadlines, fees, usage rights and cancellations in writing.

Use AI to assist, then verify

Copy this prompt and fill in the brackets. AI can help plan scripts; you must verify facts, permissions and claimed experiences. Keep client and child personal data out.

Frequently asked questions

What are the Facebook monetisation requirements?

As of 1 October 2026: use a Page or professional-mode profile, live in a supported country, follow the Community Standards and Partner and Content Monetisation Policies, post original content and have an established presence of at least 30 days. Facebook content monetisation is invitation-only; Stars require 500 followers for 30 consecutive days.

Do FB Pro in-stream ads still exist?

No. Meta ended in-stream ads, Ads on Reels and the Performance bonus on 31 August 2025. Guides that still list in-stream requirements are out of date.

How much can FB Pro pay?

There is no fixed amount. Meta says each Star from a fan earns one US cent from Meta; invitation-programme earnings depend on performance and policies. Brand collaborations and content services are often the main sources.

What are good FB Pro content ideas for beginners?

Pick what you know and neighbours need: recipes and budget shopping, small-business tips, home or vehicle care, local event information or behind-the-scenes work. Write honestly and cite sources for facts.

Do I need a large following first?

Not to learn and build a portfolio. UGC work considers production quality. Sponsored publishing considers audience fit and content performance. Affiliate and platform programmes have their own rules.

How long until I get work?

There is no fixed timeline. The 30-day plan is practice for creating work samples. Paid work depends on quality, fit, communication and opportunity.

Does CariTalent charge for a listing or take commission?

Directory registration is free with no talent commission. Applicants must be 18 or older. Submissions are reviewed and prospective partners contact talent directly.
