Short answer

A comp card is a short card with your best photographs, name, measurements and contact details that you send to clients or agencies for castings. With this tool, fill in your details, choose one to four photos, check the front and back preview, then press “Save as PDF”. Everything runs on your device: photos are not sent to CariTalent and the tool is free.

How to make a comp card in five steps

  1. Step 1: Add your name and type of work

Use your professional name and the work you want, such as “Catalogue & beauty model”.

  2. Step 2: Enter your measurements

Height, bust, waist, hips, shoe and clothing size. Measure barefoot with a soft tape.

  3. Step 3: Choose one to four photos

Main photo on the front; full length, profile and half length on the back. Use recent photos without heavy editing.

  4. Step 4: Add a business contact

A business email, Instagram or WhatsApp, plus a portfolio or CariTalent profile link. Never include a home address.

  5. Step 5: Save as PDF

Press save, choose “Save as PDF”, A5 paper, no margins and background graphics on.

Saving, printing and sending

  • On a computer or Android, choose “Save as PDF” as the destination. On iPhone, open Share then Print, and pinch the preview to make a PDF.
  • Choose A5 paper, margins “None” and turn on “Background graphics” so colours and photos print fully.
  • For double-sided printing, flip on the short edge. Heavier card stock (about 260–300 gsm) lasts longer.
  • Send the PDF by email or the client’s official channel, never to unidentified accounts. Update it whenever your look or measurements change.

Comp card questions

Is this comp card maker free?

Yes. There is no fee, sign-up or paid watermark. You can switch off the small “made at caritalent.com” line.

Are my photos uploaded to CariTalent?

No. Your browser reads the photos for the preview and PDF, and they are gone when you close the page. Text is saved only on this device so you can continue later; “Clear form” deletes it.

How many photos should I use?

Four: a headshot on the front, then full length, profile and half length or another expression on the back. One photo is enough to start.

What is the difference between a comp card and a portfolio?

A portfolio holds many of your best images. A comp card is a one-sheet summary for castings: a few photos, measurements and contact. Both should use photos you have the right to use.

What size is a comp card?

This tool produces two A5 pages (14.8 × 21 cm): front and back. For double-sided printing, flip on the short edge. For email, the two-page PDF is enough.

Can I use it for agency applications or castings?

Yes. Many clients and agencies ask for digitals and measurements; a comp card summarises both. Follow any specific format an organiser asks for.

What should I leave off?

Home address, date of birth, ID numbers and bank details. A business contact you are happy to share is enough.
